Soal Reported Speech Simple Present Paling Efektif

Ada ketika dimana dalam proses komunikasi kita sehari-hari seseorang menanyakan kepada kita sebuah pernyataan yang telah disampaikan oleh orang lain.

Misal orang tersebut bertanya: "What did he say?" (apa yang telah ia katakan?)

Tentu tanggapan dari pertanyaan tersebut sanggup jadi merupakan pengulangan sebuah kalimat yang telah disampaikan oleh si pembicara.

Misal tanggapan yang kita berikan adalah: He said (that) he was proud of us. (dia bilang bahwa ia merasa gembira kepada kita).

Pengulangan kalimat seseorang menyerupai itu yang disampaikan kembali kepada orang lain ialah apa yang kita sebut dengan kalimat tidak pribadi (reported speech).

Ada banyak bentuk reported speech dalam Bahasa Inggris, sesuai dengan jumlah tenses yang terdapat dalam Bahasa Inggris.

Sebelumnya kita telah membahas salah satunya reported speech simple present - simple past tense.
